Through researching and observing learning environments, we have identified major problems present in the high tech classroom in tory building.

By identifying the major issues we are able to ideate and come up with design solutions to build a better classroom environment which benefits the student’s learning experience.

which could alter their learning experience in a positive or negative way. We have identified several different categories of stakeholders that play a major role in the main stakeholders life. These include teachers, mentors/coaches, family, peers, and more indirect relationships such as IT and the dean.
build positive relationships with the secondary stakeholders, this will be beneficial to the student’s learning experience.
Our further analysis and research is based mainly around the student. By observing their interactions with products and the people in the room, their behaviour and experiences we can identify what the students require for a better learning experience.

The main stakeholder in our scenario is the student in the classroom. The classroom is specifically built for the students to learn. The other stakeholders may affect the student personally which could alter their learning experience in a positive or negative way. Kano Model

We found that the basic needs of the classroom requirements were all present and fairly well executed in terms of the design. For example, the chairs were extremely comfortable, the room was well lit, and was very clean. As for the wants, we did encounter some problems. One of interviewees complained about the temperature of the room stating it was too cold. The bigger problem however was the configuration of the room. The tables are on wheels and can be moved anywhere in the room but there is not enough space to move them. If this feature is offered on the tables the room should allow for this to be taken advantage of.

Using the Kano analysis we have isolated various experiences and benefits that should be present in the classroom in order for the students and teachers to experience a meaningful and positive learning environment. These key factors contribute to creating the ideal classroom environment students are looking for. By organizing these factors on the graph, we discovered which factors are the most important to the students and which ones need improvement.
